Today we flew across the country from our small town life to the ever hustling and bustling New York City! This is our first time visiting NYC together and we thought what better time than our 5 year wedding anniversary! We are so excited to explore the city and experience a different lifestyle for a short time.
We found a really fun hotel called the Graduate located on Roosevelt Island. It’s just to the east of the city, has one hotel and is so small the Main Street forms a one way loop around the island. It has multiple transportation options including subway, ferry and a tram.
The hotel also has an amazing rooftop bar. We took the opportunity on our first night here to check out the views. The drinks were delicious but the most enjoyable part was the sun and slight breeze as we took in the views of the city.
We are looking forward to our time here and allowing ourselves to get lost experiencing the city!
