Yesterday we said goodbye (Αντίο) to Corfu. This was definitely bittersweet for us. We had such an amazing time in Corfu we did not want to leave the beautiful island and welcoming people behind. That being said, we were very much looking forward to getting back to our fur bubbas, our home, and our bed! We can’t say thank you enough to my Mom and Tom for house sitting and watching the pups for us while we were gone (we know they aren’t the easiest!). We’ve been a little behind on getting our posts out for the last few days so apologies for bombarding those of you who are subscribers!
We had a very long day of travel ahead of us. We had to leave The Bride behind that morning which was sad but Brett promised I could get my own cabriolet (wink wink). We left at about 7:30 AM in order to get to the airport in plenty of time for our 11:45 AM flight. I honestly thought it was a bit overkill to be there so early however it turns out it was absolutely the right decision (thank you Brett!)! The airport on Corfu, international as it may be, is very small and therefore gets pretty bogged down. There are 5 gates total and one security checkpoint which consisted of 4 luggage scanners and 2 metal detectors. It took us about an hour to get through the massive security line. From there we flew on to London where we had a few hours before our next flight. The timing worked out perfectly as we had to check-in and go through security again at London Gatwick. This left us just enough time before we boarded the plane to Denver.

We made made it to Denver a little early but it was still a very long 9 hour flight!! We were very glad when the Rocky Mountains were on the horizon and we were finally touching down. In order to combat the jet lag we knew that we needed to stay awake for the entire duration of our traveling. By the time we made it home at about 8:30 PM we had been traveling for close to 24 hours. Needless to say we were SO excited to see Bindi and Rusty and hop into bed to sleep off the long day of travel.

Thank you to our family and friends who helped us prepare for our trip, giving us gifts to make memories on our exploration, and assistance given while we were gone. We are already looking forward to our next adventure!!
