Firstly I must say I am obsessed with anything by Amy Butler. She has the most amazing sense of color and her fabric patterns are simply incredible! She offers a lot of cool ideas and even free patterns on her site.
I decided to tackle the Sexy Hexy Love Quilt – not the easiest of patterns to say the least. In true ‘Kate’ fashion I also decided to alter the pattern….the first step in many mathematical calculations and episodes of wanting to pull my hair out.
Needless to say it took me about a year to finish this. Thank you again to my Mom for helping me through the finishing steps. I thought I was going to have a heart-attack when it looked like I wasn’t going to have enough fabric for the boarder and backing. We almost lost our fingers at the finish line when the sewing machine became possessed. We finally conquered and I think the finished product turned out pretty well!
